Frequently Asked Questions

Who can exhibit ?

The Future Business Forum Expo is open to businesses, service providers, and solution partners that operate in, or actively service, North West Queensland.

The Expo places a strong preference on local supply and local buy, supporting businesses that employ local people, have a regional presence, and contribute to the North West Queensland economy.

We welcome exhibitors across a broad range of sectors, including:

• Professional and consulting services
• Trades and technical services
• Construction and infrastructure
• Technology, digital, and cyber security
• Energy, resources, and advanced manufacturing
• Transport and logistics
• Training, education, and workforce development
• Sustainability, environment, and decarbonisation services
• Indigenous-owned businesses
• Industry bodies and ecosystem organisations

Exhibitors should be able to clearly demonstrate their capability and relevance to buyers, major projects, councils, and organisations seeking local or regionally based suppliers.

The Expo is curated to ensure a balanced mix of capability and strong relevance to North West Queensland priorities. Submitting an expression of interest does not guarantee a space, as places are limited to 55 exhibitors.

How do secure my exhibition space

Tickets and exhibitor passes can be purchased online via the Future Business Forum website:
https://futurebusinessforum.au/tickets

Expo spaces are limited to 55 exhibitors and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to meeting the event’s curation and local supply focus. We recommend securing your ticket or exhibitor pass early to avoid missing out.

Smaller organisations and consultants may choose to share an exhibitor space. Please note that each exhibitor pass includes access for one person only. Due to costs associated with catering, materials, and networking functions, any additional people attending must hold their own attendee ticket.

When are bump-in and bump-out

Bump-in is on the morning of the expo with access from early. Bump-out starts after closing. Final times will be confirmed in your exhibitor pack.

Will buyers attend and can I book meetings

Yes. The Future Business Forum is designed to bring together buyers, decision-makers, and organisations actively seeking local and regional suppliers.

The program includes dedicated meet-the-buyers sessions, procurement-focused conversations, and structured networking to support introductions between buyers and suppliers.

Attendees can opt in to share their contact details with other participants to help organise one-on-one catch ups. Quiet meeting spaces will be available throughout the venue for informal discussions and private conversations.

Expo exhibitors will also be provided access to an event messaging group to support direct communication, meeting requests, and follow-up with buyers and attendees before and during the forum.

How much does it cost

Includes an exhibitor table in the Expo Hall, one Full Two-Day Attendee Pass, and entry to the Day One Welcome Cocktail Function.

Can I share a conference ticket

No. Each conference ticket is issued to one individual and cannot be shared.

Tickets include catering, access to sessions, event materials, and the Day One Welcome Cocktail Function where selected. For this reason, every person attending the forum must hold their own ticket.

If multiple members of your team wish to attend, individual tickets will be required for each person.

If I am manning an exhibition space, will I still get value from my attendee pass?

es. The Expo is fully integrated into the Future Business Forum program, not positioned as a separate or side activity.

Participants are intentionally directed to the Expo Hall during breaks, catering periods, and networking sessions, ensuring consistent foot traffic and meaningful engagement with your stand.

The forum is designed around a flexible, choose-your-own-path format. This means you can balance time working on your business at your exhibitor table, while also stepping into sessions, meet-the-buyers conversations, and workshops that are most relevant to you.

You are not locked into a rigid agenda. You can move between exhibiting, learning, and connecting in a way that suits your goals across the two days.

In short, your exhibitor pass gives you both strong exposure and full access to the knowledge, connections, and opportunities across the forum.
